5 Ways to Truly Make Money Moves In 2018

Hey peeps!  I hope that your 2018 has gotten started with a bang, a good one!  Unless you’ve literally been sleeping under a rock for the past year, we’ve all seen the rise of Cardi B’s rise to fame with the release of her song Bodak Yellow.  Every woman, boy, and girl can’t help but the let their ratchet side, show when that Bodak Yellow beat drops.  “I don’t dance now, I make money moves.” 

Needless to say the theme for most people looking to level up in 2018 is “Making money moves.”  I love it!  It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re chasing money but you’re chasing success, whatever that looks like to you. 

The truth is, most people don’t chase their dreams because they don’t have the funds to do so.  While this is a legit reason to be concerned about taking risk, this should not hold you back from following your dreams, doing something you’re passionate about and making an impact.

The good news is, you can create extra income for yourself without having to get 2 and 3 jobs.  Hello!  It’s 2018, gone are the days that we’re stuck to just working for “The Man”.  The explosion of Silicon Valley has birthed some awesome apps/opportunities.  You can literally make the money you need to invest in your dreams and create the life you want ON YOUR TERMS.

Check out 4 ways you can be making money moves in 2018:

  #1 Is the easiest method but also probably the lowest turnaround.  Using this app is easy, it’s basically rebates without the work of having to scan receipts, track which rebates are available or any of the hassle any of those other rebate apps give you.  Dosh is an easy to use app.  All you do is link it to your debit card and the app will automatically track your purchases and give you the rebates you earn for doing everyday things such as grocery shopping, booking travel, and more.  You even get money for sharing this awesome app with your friends and family and so do they. 

This won’t help you on your quest to be a millionaire but it will help you on your quest to make easy money in 2018 that you can use to invest in yourself, your business, or wherever you see fit.  After all, it requires nothing from you but setup and you go about doing your regular shopping and living.  You’ll be surprised how quickly those dollars add up and you get that money directly deposited into your account.  No gift cards, all money baby!

#2 Is one we all know and love, good ole Ride sharing company, Uber.  How could this company not make the list?  I mean let’s face it, Uber has taken over the Ride Sharing game that by the way, Uber created.  Before it was Cab’s or drive yourself.  If you live in a city with awful traffic like I do, Uber has been a God send.  Not only is Uber good for those of us needing a quick ride across town but also those of us with no dollars but a dream.  If you have a decent vehicle, (2001 or newer) that you’ve taken care of and you like meeting new people who more than likely love a good time, Uber is for you. 

Uber makes it easy to make money, you pretty much don’t have to do anything but drive, smile, and be yourself…well maybe not yourself if you’re a little weird but it’s easy.  Perks of being a Uber driver, the money!  Sign up is quick and easy, you do have to be able to pass a background check, DNV check, show that you’re responsible and have a reliable automobile and insurance.  Once you complete those steps, you’re off to making money.  Uber drivers make as much or as little as they wish, seriously, you set your own schedule and Uber will even keep you up to date on the happenings around your city that will gross you the most income.  You can’t go wrong with being able to work when you want and make as much as you want.  You just have to be willing to do the work.  Who can’t drive strangers across town for some change?  I know people who have done stranger things for some change.

#3 Is Uber’s competition, Lyft.  The reason that Lyft makes the list is pretty much the same reasons as #2 Uber but also because you can do them both if you’re really determined.  You can get the benefits of driving for both services.  It’s really up to you.  The fact that you’re considered an independent contractor, you’re not breaking any Non compete clause.  If you ask me, that looks like a win, win.

#4 You may or may not know about Instacart depending on how high on the boujee meter you are.  Instacart is a grocery delivery app that allows people to grocery shop via the app and get their groceries delivered right to their door.  As an Instacart contractor you can choose to pick the orders up and deliver them or be an actual personal shopper by doing the shopping based on the request of the customer and then deliver the groceries to the customer.  This may sound like more work than you’re willing to put in but it’s actually pretty easy and not to mention easy extra money.  Plus, if you’re like me, you spend most of your evening in the grocery store any way because you’ve got kids to feed.  Why not get paid for it?  Instacarts process is similar to Ubers/Lyft’s with the exception the type of car and condition doesn’t matter as much because you’re not transporting clients.

Either way it’s Insta-money in your pocket.

#5 The last money-making opportunity on the list is Postmates.  This is another one of those services that delivers pretty much anything you can think of.  Like, literally, you can have McDonalds delivered via Postmates if you so choose.  Got a stain?  Order a Tide Pen and have it delivered via Postmates.  Sure, it’s going to cost you but you’re paying for convenience right? As a Postmates Fleet driver, you’re responsible for picking up the order and delivering it to the customer.  Out of all of the apps, this will probably be the last one I would do because the payouts are low and not worth the amount of work you have to do to earn the extra bucks.  Nonetheless, you can still earn extra dough and the onboarding process is pretty easy.

I’ve given you 5 options to make extra money that you can then use to invest in your dreams.  There are no excuses as to why you can’t chase your dreams in 2018.  If you’re still complaining about being broke and you have a car, two good legs, and nothing seriously wrong with you….I have no words.

So come on sing it with me, “ I don’t dance now, I make money Moves”.  2018 is the year of leveling up, making boss moves, and creating the lives we want.  Don’t make excuses, we make money moves!

Are you a conqueror or conquistador?

Happy Thursday peeps! I know it’s been a few weeks since you’ve heard from me.  Having 5 kids means the month of May is extremely busy for me.  From wrapping up the end of the school year to birthdays and a demanding 9 to 5, your girl has been busy.

Nonetheless, I have a word that I would like to share.  With me wearing so many hats and having so many responsibilities, it is easy to be overwhelmed and feel helpless.  Sometimes, I think that life would be much easier if my dreams weren’t so big, but then I think, “what fun would that be?”

The easy thing to do is to quit, give up, tap out, and walk away.  That’s also how you stay stuck and settle for where you are right now.

Are you a conqueror (winner) or conquistador (loser)?  Do you give up at the first sign of “hard”? Do you allow your challenges to get you down and make you feel defeated?

If you’ve answered yes to any of those questions, it’ time for an attitude adjustment.  It’s time for you to train your mind to think on a different level.  Train yourself to replace every negative thought with a positive punch.  Your success depends on it.  Your goals and dreams will not work unless you do and it’s going to take a fight, it won’t be easy.

Whenever I think about giving up, taking the easy way out and settling for “normal”, I remind myself why I do this; it’s because I get to help others accomplish their goals and live their dreams.  I get to show my children what going after what you want looks like even when times get tough, you don’t give in you stand in and fight for what you want.

if you’ve been feeling down, depressed, overwhelmed, helpless, hopeless, or just down right TIRED, that’s when you dust your shoulders off, face your challenges head on and refuse to give in.  Don’t throw in the towel, use it to wipe your sweat off and keep fighting.  Finances in shambles? FIGHT!  Career not going the way you want? FIGHT!  Relationship issues got you down? FIGHT! Fight for your victory, fight your way to finish line.  NO MATTER WHAT, YOU ARE A CONQUEROR!

Don't throw in the towel, use it to wipe your sweat off and keep fighting.

 
I just wanted to drop in and share this because I too struggle on a daily to fight but my will to conquer my dreams is bigger than my will to give in.  I’m fighting and I will stand with you as you fight.  WE GOT THIS!  You can get that degree you’re working on.  You will get that awesome job that you’re not qualified for.  That career change you want to make will happen.  Your financial situation will improve.  You gotta be willing to put in the work and fight for what you want.

I pray that this blesses you and gives you the motivation you need to level up and show yourself what being a conqueror looks and feels like.

Master the art of slaying stress with these 5 tips

Having a husband and 5 children has made me HAVE to become a pro at keeping my stress level down.  How many people know that it’s hard out here for an adult?

Adulting can be hard but here are 5 tips that will have you slaying stress like Buffy the vampire slayer.

Go to the corner!

The first thing you should always do when dealing with a stressful situation or feeling overwhelmed is to stop what you’re doing and take a deep breath.  Taking a deep breath serves as a way for you to not only to take a moment to gather yourself, but it is also calming.  Have you ever noticed how much tension you feel leave your body after taking a deep breath?  It really helps.  So, the next time you feel the pressure rising, stop whatever you’re doing and take a deep breath (or a few of them if you’re dealing with your husband). You’ll immediately feel calmer. Calm thinking leads to level thinking which leads to making better decisions.

Have a kick butt workout and kick stresses butt

Studies show that exercise is one of the key activities you can do to alleviate stress, tension, fat and more.  There’s no way around it.  No matter how much I’ve tried to run from exercise, it just keeps finding a reason to pop back into my life.  I have decided to embrace my love/hate relationship with exercise and give in to the benefits that it offers.

The harder you go during your workout, the more you kick the hell out of stress.  Have you ever noticed how great you feel after a workout and how your stress/tension level decreases?  The better the workout the better your mood.  Go hard in the gym and knock stress out!

Sleep in, it’s good for you

I know I was happy to see that more sleep could equal less stress. I’ve been trying to tell my husband for years that my need for more sleep is not laziness but beneficial for both him and me.  I can truly say, I WAS RIGHT!  Getting enough sleep can lead to lowering your stress levels and easing tension.  Don’t feel guilty for sleeping in on the weekends or calling it quits early, your productivity dependents on it.

Namaste= No-Mo-Stress

I remember watching the movie, ‘What’s love got to do it’ and seeing the scene where Tina Turner was meditating.  I was a kid at the time and I, with my southern background, thought that she was speaking in tongue.  It was funny to me at the time and I even remember mocking her saying the mantra.

Well fast forward to now as an adult and I now understand what she was doing, but more than ever, I understand why.  Tina was trying to keep herself from ending up on an episode of ‘Snapped”.  Meditation worked because Tina got stronger and left Ike instead of killing him.

Meditation has great effects on stress and overwhelm.  I used to be stressed all the time having to deal with adulthood and trying to be everything to everybody.  As a wife/mother, having to keep up with multiple schedules and still take care of myself had me in a constant state of stress.

It wasn’t until earlier this year after I got serious about meditating, that I begin to see a difference in my life and a decrease in my stress level.  I’ve been able to get things accomplished that I thought I never would, all because I worked to create stronger prayer/meditation life.   I could not do it along, my uncle in my head, Deepak Choppra helped me with his great mediation programs.  Check out how transformational having a good meditation life can have on your life here.

Like Elsa in Frozen say’s, Let it go! 

The last tip and probably the most important is to let it go.  Too often we try to control everything and that need for control is one of the biggest causes of stress.  Trying to control our career’s, trying to control our children, our friendships, etc.  I’m tried just thinking about it!

We cannot have control over everything in life.  Truth be told, we really don’t have any control over a lot of things in our lives.  Now that we know that, why waste time worrying about something that you have absolutely no control over?  The more you worry the more time you waste and we all know how precious time is.  Once it’s  gone you can’t get it back.  My advice to you is, don’t sweat the small stuff.

So how do we slay stress?

  1. Go to timeout and breath
  2. Sweat rids stress
  3. Beauty rest is bad for stress
  4. Namaste the stress away
  5. Let it go! Let it go! Can’t hold it back anymore <—Elsa’s voice!

The Power Of The “P” & How It’s Holding You Back

There is something that is keeping you from fully realizing your dreams and living in your purpose.  You’ve been letting it hold you back for far too long.  It’s time to put an end to the hold that it’s had on you and your mind and start getting things done. 

It’s the power of the “P”, procrastination.  What?  What did you think I was talking about?  Now that you’ve gotten your mind out of the gutter, let’s see how procrastination plays a huge role in holding great people back from really stepping into their greatness.

Procrastination happens!

Studies have shown that 20% or more of people identify themselves as chronic procrastinator.  What are the characteristics of a chronic procrastinator?  Here are a few:

          • Always putting things off
          • Pays bills late
          • Waits to the last-minute to do everything
          • Misses opportunities because you put them off until it’s too late

Does that sound familiar?  Can you relate to some or all of those characteristics? If so, there is a good chance you may be a chronic procrastinator.

A Cute Planner Will Not Cure Procrastination

From the outside looking in, one would say that to cure this “problem”, the person just needs to plan better, right? Wrong.  Procrastination has nothing to do with time management.  A person who procrastinated can plan events and task in advance but when it comes down to executing them, they just miss the mark.  It’s like planning to procrastinate.  You plan to attend an event.  You have all of the details, date, time, etc but you put off purchasing the ticket.  That’s a waste of energy, going through the process of planning but failing to execute one of the most critical steps.  Do you find yourself doing sometimes?  I know I have. 

You Were Not Born This Way

Some studies show that procrastination is a learned trait and not a gene you’re born with.  It is through your experiences in life that you learn to be an expert procrastination.  How do you change a learned trait? You don’t feed it.  You do the opposite until the opposite becomes your new habit.  So instead of putting off that housework that you wrote down on your to-do list, just do it.  You want a better job or to start your own business, do the work.  Maybe you want a new boo but have been putting off setting up your match.com account, get to it.

Keep in mind that there is no better time than now and that you’ll feel better later after having accomplished the things you want to do.

By procrastinating and putting it off, you feel bad later and end up feeling like a failure because you put it off again.

Stop Lying To Yourself

If you think you’re doing yourself a justice by telling yourself things like; “Oh it won’t hurt if I do it later.”  Or, “ I just don’t feel like doing that now, it can wait.”  You’re wrong.  You’re doing yourself an injustice, your goals/dreams an injustice and if you have any children, you’re doing them an injustice too.

You’re setting yourself up for failure by putting off for later what you can do now.  Now don’t get me wrong, I know that sometimes you’re just tired and you don’t feel like doing anything.  I get it, I’m a wife, mom, business owner and full-time employee.  There are some day’s I want to come home and just throw myself in the bed but the results of that are not worth the risk.  For me, if I let procrastination rule my life, my house would be a mess, kids would be raising themselves and my business would not be growing. 

It’s all about being honest with yourself.  Ask yourself what will the consequences be if you keep putting stuff off?  How will it benefit you and those important to you?  Will it keep you from growing?

Once you can paint a clear picture for yourself and see how procrastination is impacting your life, your goals, and keeping you from living your dreams, I hope that motivates your to step your game up.

    • Procrastination happens, it’s very common for people to pick up this trait.
    • Time management is not the cure to procrastination.  procrastinations can procrastinate in a timely fashion.
    • Procrastination is a learned trait.  We all know that all learned traits can be unlearned and a new trait can take it’s place.  It takes 21 days to create a new habit.
    • procrastinations are lying to themselves and doing themselves a disservice every time they use a phrase like, “it can wait until later.”

3 Key Tools To Create A Better You

Life can be so hectic with all that we typically have on our plates.  Everyday you’re racing out the door to beat traffic, drop kids off, get to work and struggling to be your best self.  This can leave you feeling overworked, under-appreciated, frustrated, tired, down and out.  We’ve all been there, more than once.  I bought the t-shirt, forgot about and bought it again.

Hi, my name is Kendra and I am the tired club president.

Operating in this space will drain you and keep you from living your best life.  You can’t enjoy or live your best life if you’re operating at less than half of your best self.  Here are 3 simple keys that will help you relax, reset, and refocus without taking too much of your already limited time.

You’re sitting at your desk and an email hit’s your already overloaded inbox from a needy client that reads, “URGENT”.  Immediately your blood rushes to your head, the coffee you drank less than an hour ago no longer has its effect and you just want to scream.  Before you type that nasty email response to your client who thinks that every minuscule need is URGENT, stop.

Pause

Take the time to just Pause. Take a moment to breath in the moment and let out all of the negative emotions and energy you’re feeling.  Do this a couple of times to make sure you’ve gotten all of the negativity out of your bones before you proceed.  This will help you calm yourself and rid yourself of the negative energy you feel at that moment.  After you’ve taken the needed amount of breathes to put your mind back at ease, you’re ready for the next step.

Ponder

Now you’re ready to reflect on the what, why, and how.  What is causing you this stress, anxiety, or negative energy?  Why is it causing you to feel the way you feel and why are you letting it? How should you respond?  By taking the time to reflect, you give yourself time to really think about things from a different perspective, than you would have had before.  You allow yourself the time to think things through and this allows you to refocus your energy in a more positive way.  Ever heard the saying, ‘Think before you_?”  That’s what this step allows you to do, think before you act or speak so that you’re coming from the best possible place at all times.  Now that you’ve taken the time to take a breather and reflect, it’s time to act on YOUR best behalf before you act on anyone else’s.

Pray

Before you respond, take the time to pray or meditate.  Whatever you do in your own spiritual time, do that in this moment.  This will give you time to seek spiritual guidance.  This is the best way to ensure that you’re always coming from the best place possible while dealing with life’s issue’s.

In order to live your best life, you’ve got to be your best self.  Like the Snicker’s commercial, you’re not yourself when you’re hungry, you’re not yourself when you’re hungry for good internal vibes.

That’s it!  In those 3 steps, you can create positive vibes at all times.  These steps can help you ensure that you always take a proactive approach instead of being a reactive mess.

Remember the three key steps, PAUSE, PONDER, AND PRAY!

Chasing Dreams While Raising kids…How?

I often hear people speak about balance and trying to find it.  Here’s the hard truth, balance does not exist honey bunch, it’s a myth.   Sorry to burst you bubble and shatter your hopes of finding something thats about as easy to find as the mythical unicorn.

As a wife and mom of not 1, not 2, but 5 whole kids, I can honestly tell you with 1000% certainty that there is no such thing as balance.  I know for a fact, especially when you’re trying to manage multiple lives and your own.  It’s time to stop looking for the unicorn that is balance and to start coming up with a strategy to effectively chase your dreams and raise your kids.

For the longest time, I kept putting my goals off and making excuses about why I couldn’t start my business or write my book.  I kept saying it was because I didn’t have “balance.”  It got to the point that I was stagnant and not getting anything accomplished.  Meanwhile, back at the ranch, life was continuing to happen around me.

I had to realize that life is NEVER going to stop and wait for Kendra to get out there and live.  There will always be trials and tribulations.  Life will ALWAYS throw you curve balls,  it’s up to you to push through it and make things happen!  Yes, you’re going to have to be the driver of your dreams.

Don’t let your responsibilities as a parent, provider, chef, taxi, boo boo kisser and monster chaser, keep you from sharing your awesomeness with the world.  Parenthood should never smother who you are meant to be, it should actually make you better and more determined to be the best version of yourself that you can be.

You’re not doing your family any favors by not living in your purpose and settling for the mediocrity that life can offer, to those who are willing to accept it.  Where’s the fun in that?

Here are some tips I’ve learned over the years that’s helped me accomplish the things I set out to accomplish all while killing this thing called parenthood…hopefully 🙂

  1. TAKE BREAKS
    • Too often, I’ve seen parents get burned out because they’re trying to be super heroes and do everything for everybody but neglecting themselves.  Trust me, you’re not only doing yourself a disservice but you’re probably not being your best self for your family.  Take some “you” time at least twice a week or more if you can squeeze the time in.  You don’t have to take days at a time, you’ll be surprised how much a 3o min “meditation” break can help boost your spirits or morning coffee and chill moment can get your prepared for the day.  Carve out some time that you can go off in a corner and get some quiet time to reboost your life.
  2. DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF
    • As a mother of 5, I had to learn to not get worked up about EVERYTHING.  “OMG, the dishes are not cleaned!”  “OMG, theres laundry to be done.” “Omg, there are dirty boys to clean!”  I used to be that mom that fussed about everything.  It wasn’t until I reached a breaking point and had a breakdown/break through moment.  I realized that me fussing or cussing about everything didn’t change the outcome.  My kids would repeat the same patterns of dropping their clothes, toys, backpacks, etc, right where they stood when they walked through the door.  I would then repeat the pattern of fussing at the culprit, having them pick up the item, getting frustrated only to do it all over again THE NEXT DAY!  One day, instead of fussing, a light bulb went off and I decided to write the kids chores down, implement a incentive program (allowance) that deducted funds based on behavior and cleanliness.  I learned two things, kids love structure and kids love money.  This created a more organized routine for my kids but also made mommy 1 happy camper.
  3. STRUCTURE, STRUCTURE AND MORE STRUCTURE
    • As I stated in the last point, kids love structure.  Without it, there’s no organization or blueprint on what’s expected of them.  I can’t tell you how drastically my life changed once I implemented a more structured approach to chores, bedtime routines and life.  I have a chore board that I update weekly.  We know who’s doing what and at the end of the day I check it to make sure the assigned task was completed by the assigned kid.  If not, I deduct money from the weekly allowance and I also make that kid complete the task.  Not only is this teaching them how to have a good work ethic but it also teaches them responsibility and that there are consequences for your actions or lack thereof.
  4. CARVE OUT TIME TO WORK ON YOUR DREAMS
    • I know that your time is limited especially when you have children.  All 5 of my children compete in AAU, rec, school and any other sporting or extracurriculum event you can think of.  We have football, basketball, track, cheerleading and anything else they can wrap their minds around.  This means that I have to be creative, flexible and determined at putting effort towards chasing my dreams.  The good thing is, we live in a age of technology overflowing so I have all of the tools I need to work and grow my business at my fingertips.  While rooting for my son during his basketball game, I also do my social media post.  While waiting on a kid to complete practice, I respond to emails.  When you have a dream, you create a plan and you execute it no matter what.  Be resourceful and determined and you’ll reap the reward.
  5. PUSH THROUGH
    • Last but not least, raising kids and chasing dreams can be tiring and just down right disrespectful of your time and energy.  Both are hard jobs but both are extremely rewarding.  Neither is going to be easy and they both will come with their own set of challenges.  As long as you know that the journey will have it’s challenges but if you stick it out, work the goals and stay focused, you will not only raise successful children but you an also live your dreams.  Don’t give up in the hard times.  Press through the trials and you will reap the benefits of working hard at both, chasing dreams and raising kids.

 

 

Now that we know that there is no such thing as balance, let’s be intentional about the things we want out of life by taking the time we need to reboot, not sweating the small stuff, create structure, work on your dreams daily,and push through.  Who’s with me?

I don’t know about you, but I despise exercise.  There are a million other things I’d rather be doing like poking my eyes out with a sharp tool, but as a wife, mom, and boss chick, I can’t afford to NOT make my heath a priority.

If you are going to go hard chasing your goals, which I know you will…right? You have to go hard, hitting the gym.  You can’t have one without the other.  Ever heard the saying, “Your health is your wealth?”  Well guess what?  It’s not just another cliché but actually a proven fact.

Here are 5 reason you should stop talking about getting your fitness game up and actually do it:

It has been clinically proven that health and being active equal’s more energy.  If you want to be successful, it’s going to take energy to get there.  This means no lazy-ass-ness allowed. Some ways to jump-start being more active are:

  1. Take the strains instead of the elevator.
  2. Take a walk after dinner instead of giving in to the “sleep-itis” and laying down.
  3. Get in some morning Yoga
  4. Busy moms, take your baby for a walk putting them to sleep and getting in your steps all at the same damn time.

Putting forth just a little bit more effort can generate just that much more energy you’ll need to go hard accomplishing your goals.  If you’re really feeling pumped, jump into a full-fledged go hard or go home work out and see how much more energy that gets you.  The earlier the better.  You don’t want to be running on 1000 at 10/pm when it’s time to unwind and have your significant other looking at you sideways.  Yep, I’m guilty, sorry babe:)

Reason #2

You’re training for a life marathon not a sprint.  You want to prolong your life and not just extend your time here on earth but also extend your youthful physique and energy for as long as possible.  It’s one thing to live as long as possible but it’s another thing to LIVE life as long as possible as fabulous as possible.  A sure way to sustain a healthy and sexy physique is to change your eating habits and get in the gym. Make that elliptical your b*#@h!  Need a little motivation? Check out the fabulous Ellen Ector, the 63-year-old fitness guru is changing the game baby.  Visual motivation is a great way to see where you aspire to be and Ms. Ellen is my fit-spiration, I can only pray that I am as fabulous at 63 as she is.

Reason #3

I guess we can add a little vanity in here, right?  Get fit because you’ll be on #fleek.  If you look good you’ll feel good and if you feel good you will operate at your highest potential.  Looking good on the outside and feeling good on the inside will boost your confidence.  Confidence is key to accomplishing your goals.  Whether it be getting ready to run a marathon or starting a new business, you’re going to have to be confident going into it so that you can get the best results out of it.  So reason #3 is do it because you’ll be sexy.  Have you seen some of those fit chicks on Instagram?  They make me want to get my whole life and put down that extra glass of red wine!  Get your body and your health on #fleek so that your life can be on #fleek.

Reason #4

Get your whole mind right!  Being fit and healthy has been linked to helping improve symptoms from mental health issues.  I don’t know about you but I know that after I’ve had a stressful day, a good workout can erase the effects of that day and even put me in a better mood.  Exercise has been said to give you “feel good” endorphin’s. Feeling down? Run.  Got the winter blues? Hit that elliptical .  Get your health right and get your mind right!

Reason #5

Just Do it! Get fit and healthy because it’s good for you.  It’s good for your life and it’s good for the goals you’re about to tackle.  You’re going to need stamina to stay in the game and finish strong.  You’re going to need muscle to push through the hard times and you’re going to need the energy to get up and go get it, whatever “it” is.  Just do it, just get up off your ass and do it.  When you’re feeling lazy after a long day, push through and get in some physical activity. You’re going to need all of the energy you can get to get to the most out of life in general, but more specifically, to get to the next level in YOUR life.  Don’t make excuses make time to do your best and live your best life.  

At the end of it all, you’ll look good, feel good and do good!

Got Dreams? Be Ready To Werk, Werk, Werk, Werk!

The saying is true,

your dreams will never breathe unless you breathe life into them
.  A lot of times, we sit back and wait on things to happen for us, until we realize, ain’t ish in this world free (for real, in real life) and nothing just happens, you make ish happen.

So here is a disclaimer, I am a straight to the point, no chaser type of girl.  I will tell you like it is no sugar added.  Sometimes you need that person that is going to keep it real with you and not agree with everything you say.

The real tea is, you won’t be successful unless you put in the work.  Only you know your vision and what you want to accomplish and how you want to get there.  Sometimes, you can have all of the vision and not know the path.  That is where a lot of us, myself included, get stuck.

You get stuck in that vision/creative space, meanwhile, no work is getting done so that is exactly where your dream stays, in the vision space.

There are so many poor lost dreams just waiting to come to life.  You were not put here to be average or to just live to work and pay bills, you were put here to be extraordinary, to do big things, and to see great things come to fruition.
